“I want everyone to feel like they have a home, and that we’re all equal”

Staff Longevity and Training
More than 50% of CORE, Inc. employees have been with the agency for at least five years and nearly a dozen have been here for 20-plus years. We believe this continued loyalty is a result of the control we give our employees in making things happen at their work places. CORE, Inc. fosters an environment of respect and our staff knows that each person’s voice is heard and that each opinion does matter.
Potential CORE, Inc. employees go through a rigorous screening process. Hamilton County criminal and traffic backgrounds are thoroughly conducted and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (ODDD) is checked to ensure the applicant doesn’t appear on the list.
In addition, all CORE, Inc. employees have their backgrounds checked through the National and Ohio BCH fingerprint check. BCI and FBI background checks are conducted on all employees.
CORE, Inc. candidates are given a minimum of two weeks training, covering various topics on health and safety, program topics, and medical issues before they go to the work location. CORE, Inc. wants all employees to feel confident in their work environments and offers continual training opportunities throughout their tenure. All employees must have their training renewed annually and have their work skills evaluated on an ongoing basis in order to remain eligible for employment.
CORE, Inc. values its employees and staff, and believes that happy, well-trained employees foster happy and safe work environments.
